Intro to Starting Labs

Starting Labs is the creation of  @ConceptualPrime (can be DM'ed on Twitter). A critical step in the creative process is the beginning, just after conception, when ideas are least formed, and iterative experimentation is required to bring the artistic idea to life. Starting Labs is a meta representation of this idea, where I hope to bring ideas to life, mostly in the form of digital art. Through iterative experimentation, and expanding collaborations, Starting Labs itself may evolve in diverse ways over time.  Each of the collections developed or curated by Starting Labs are envisioned to highlight different aspects of the creative process.

The iconic CryptoPunks have an outsized influence on NFT art, inspiring hundreds of projects including the counter-iconic CryptoPhunks, an expanding group of open-source coders, builders, memers, and artists that make up the Phunkverse.

This collection provides an artistic commentary on both the Phunks and Punks. Melded together, they debate the future. The collection is fully on-chain, with randomly facing Phunks and Punks. All the Phunks and Punks in the Phunkverse are rare 'Aliens', the most difficult to collect. The bold background colors in the collection represent the diverse talents individuals bring to Web3, and crypto art generally.
