Details and FAQ

What inspired the creation of Phunkverse Punks and Phunks Collection?

The Phunkverse is home to many builders and creatives.  Whether they identify as Punks, Phunks, or both, they are pushing the boundaries of digital creativity. The Phunks in particular are leading out with open-source software development which is paving the way for new creatives to come into the space, a space which can feel strange, intimidating, and alien to newcomers. This collection captures the spirit of the Punks and Phunks but highlights how we are all 'Aliens' when we begin our Web3 journey. As the 'Phunkverse' grows, the pace of innovation will increase.

What tools did you use to create Phunkverse Punks?

Solidity, Hardhat, NodeJS. New features in the Phunkverse contract including randomization at the SVG level to permit both Phunk and Punk Facing characters.

I also used tools like Pixen to mock-up different renditions of Phunkverse Punks and Phunks, including experimenting with the backgrounds. Artistic choices included preserving some elements of original Punks coloring to preserve 10,000 unique NFTs. And yes, there are 'Alien 'Aliens in the Collection.
